Introduction
This guide will walk you through the process of streaming controller data to RunScore using the CCSLite and SimpleClient applications or importing a processed data file directly into RunScore. The guide has been developed as a reference in order to provide support to our Timers who use the RunScore application.
ChronoTrack does NOT support the RunScore application and therefore changes to the RunScore software may cause this guide to no longer be applicable. Please contact RunScore staff directly for problems or discrepancies with RunScore.
Streaming Data to RunScore
- Select the session of data you would like to import into RunScore by establishing a connection between your computer and your controller and selecting the correct session in SimpleClient.
If you are unsure of how to do this, please see our connection Quick Starts on the Timer Portal in the downloads section under Documentation > Hardware > Controllers > MiniTrack/Pro Series > Network Setup Guides
You may also load a USB controller file directly into SimpleClient if you do not need to stream data live. - Ensure that a Direct Socket Out Connection is active by selecting the Direct Socket Out menu item and clicking Connection 1.
- Set the Hostname to localhost and the TCP Port to 61611.
- Check the box next to Activate Connection.
- Click Ok.
- Open the RunScore Server application.
- Load your RunScore race file.
- Select Tools > Initialize > External Timer
- In the window that appears, select ChronoTrack from the Device dropdown.
- Check the TCP box on the far right, and enter the Port number 61611 and click OK.
- SimpleClient should now display that it is connected to RunScore.
- After a few seconds, RunScore will ask if you want to use the current events mapping file. Click Yes.
- Click the Play button in SimpleClient to stream the data to RunScore.
- You should now see results in RunScore.
If RunScore is not set to auto-refresh, you will have to click the results screen in order to refresh the data displayed.
Import Timing Data via File Load
If you do not need to stream data into RunScore live, you can load a processed data file directly into run score at any time.
To Do This:
- Open SimpleClient, select the correct session of data, and Play the data
- Once SimpleClient displays the “Session Streaming Done” message, click the blue Save button to save the processed file to your computer.
- Open the RunScore Server application.
- Load your race data file.
- Select Results > (Race Name) to open the results view.
- Select File > Import Numbers and Times > Times > Replace and select the data file you processed through SimpleClient.
- You should now have results within RunScore.
