One of the joys of working with ChronoTrack Hardware is that your Tag Number and Bib Number can be the same. This simple convenience reduces cognitive load and can make troubleshooting much easier.
However, you may not always have the luxury—or desire—to configure your Event this way. In those cases, you need a Bib/Tag Map (previously referred to as a Bib/Chip Map).
What's New?
You can now view and manage your Event's Bib/Tag Map directly within Admin!
Features
- New Uploader & Table View
- Inline header mapping, similar to our new Importer
- Choose Append or Replace for each upload
- View multi-file upload history
- Sort the table
- See associated Athletes and click directly into their records
- Search
- Search by Bib or Tag using a single search field
- Multiple Tags per Bib
- Assign multiple Tags to a Bib by adding a row for each Tag instead of comma-separating Tags within a single cell
- Automatically Fill Missing Tags — New Functionality!
- Any Bib not included in your uploaded map can automatically use its Bib Number as its Tag Number
- Errors & Filtering
- Receive alerts for Duplicate Tag Errors
- Filter for missing Tags
- Quickly identify Bibs where the Bib and Tag do not match
- Inline Add, Edit & Delete
- Manage individual rows directly within the table without needing to re-upload a file
- Re-Apply Bib/Tag Map
- Quickly re-apply your Bib/Tag Map if changes have been made directly to Athlete records
- Downloads & Job Visibility
- Download the current Bib/Tag Map stored in the system
- Download any previously uploaded CSV from the Jobs page
- If an Import encounters errors, quickly review them and download a Failures CSV
Note About Tag Disambiguation:
- Tag Disambiguation is NOT compatible with Bib/Tag Maps.
- This is not a regression or loss of existing functionality. The previous Bib/Tag Map tool does not support this scenario either. This may be changed in the future depending on need.
How To Enable
Why Did We Work on This?
- Our previous Bib/Tag Map experience was incredibly fragile and often required customers to contact Support to resolve problems if they needed to do more than 1 upload
- We're continuing to migrate away from our legacy 1.0 experiences in favor of the new Admin interface— providing a more intuitive experience backed by modern, more reliable services.
