Introduction
Upon receipt of your AeroTrack, the following REQUIRED steps must be completed before use. Failure to properly configure the system settings may result in reduced field performance. We also provide additional recommended configurations and optional configurations. Optional items will depend on whether or not you plan to use cellular and user-restriction preferences on the AeroTrack.

Learn more about using and implementing your new AeroTrack
Connecting to a Wifi Network (required)
- From the home screen, swipe upward on the screen to open the application drawer.
- Choose "Settings" towards the bottom of the apps list.
- Choose “Network & internet”
- Select the Wi-Fi network that you want to connect to from the list of available networks.
- Enter the password for the wireless network.
Installing MobileTrack (required)
- From the home screen, swipe upward on the screen to open the application drawer.
- Choose "Play Store" from the apps list.
- Choose "Sign in."
- Sign in using a Google account, or create a new one. Whatever account you choose here will be used to save files for sharing (if needed).
We advise using a Google account that is exclusively for use with your AeroTrack devices. When an Android device is signed in to a Google account, that device will have access to everything on that account. For example, if you signed in to a Google account that you also use as a primary email, your AeroTrack devices will have access to your email. - Enter your password and choose “Next”.
- Choose "I agree" to the terms of service.
- Tap “Use basic device backup” to deselect it.
- Choose “Accept”.
- Once logged into the Play Store, tap the search bar at the top and type in: chronotrack mobiletrack
- Choose Install.
- Tap the home button (circle button in the bottom center of the screen) to return to the home screen.
- Once installation is complete, you will find the app on the home screen.
Date and Time (required)
- From the home screen, swipe upward on the screen to open the application drawer.
- Choose "Settings" towards the bottom of the apps list.
- Scroll all the way down and choose “System”.
- Choose “Date & time”.
- Check the selected time zone below the “Automatic time zone” option. If it does not match your time zone, tap to disable “Automatic time zone”. If the selected time zone already reflects the correct time zone, no further change is needed. If not, proceed to steps 6 and 7 below.
- Choose “Select time zone”.
- Adjust the Region and Time zone accordingly.
Disabling MobileTrack Battery Optimization (required)
- From the home screen, swipe upward on the screen to open the application drawer.
- Choose "Settings" towards the bottom of the apps list.
- Choose “Apps & notifications”.
- Choose “SEE ALL XX APPS”.
- Choose MobileTrack from this list.
- Tap "Advanced" toward the bottom to expand the menu.
- Choose "Battery" from the expanded menu.
- Choose “Battery optimization”.
- Tap the "Not Optimized" dropdown and choose “All Apps”.
- Choose "MobileTrack".
- Choose "Don't Optimize".
- Choose "Done".
Data Saver MobileTrack Exception (required)
- From the home screen, swipe upward on the screen to open the application drawer.
- Choose "Settings" towards the bottom of the apps list.
- Choose “Network & internet”.
- Tap "Advanced" to expand the menu.
- Choose "Data Saver".
- Ensure “Data Saver” is enabled.
- Choose "Unrestricted Data".
- Ensure "MobileTrack" is selected.
DuraSpeed MobileTrack Exception (required)
- From the home screen, swipe upward on the screen to open the application drawer.
- Choose "Settings" towards the bottom of the apps list.
- Choose "DuraSpeed".
- Ensure "MobileTrack" is selected.
Recommended Configuration Steps
Display Settings (recommended)
- From the home screen, swipe upward on the screen to open the application drawer.
- Choose "Settings" towards the bottom of the apps list.
- Choose "Display".
- Enable "Dark Theme" if desired (this can improve battery life).
- Choose "Adaptive Brightness".
- Enable "Adaptive Brightness" if desired (this can improve battery life).
- Tap the back arrow to go back one menu.
- Tap "Advanced" toward the bottom to expand the menu.
- Choose "Screen Timeout".
- Set the screen to timeout after 2 minutes by tapping the "2 minutes" option (this can be further adjusted depending on the application in which the AeroTrack is being used. For example, you may want to increase this if using the AeroTrack as a handheld device).
Battery Percentage Display (recommended)
- From the home screen, swipe upward on the screen to open the application drawer.
- Choose "Settings" towards the bottom of the apps list.
- Choose "Battery".
- Enable "Battery Percentage".
Home Screen Cleanup (recommended)
- The home screen layout can be modified by tapping and holding an app icon, then dragging it around the screen. This mode initializes when you start dragging the icon.
- To remove an icon from your home screen, tap and hold the icon, then drag to the top of the screen where the “X Remove” option appears (this does not install the app -- you may still access it from the applications list by swiping up on the home screen).
Optional Configuration Steps
Cellular (optional)
Before inserting or removing SIM cards, power the AeroTrack off by holding down the power button on the left side of the AeroTrack and choosing "Power Off". Tap again to confirm.
The SIM card tray on the AeroTrack can support either of the following configurations:
- Up to 2 Nano SIM cards
- Up to 1 Nano and 1 Micro SIM
SIM cards are inserted at the bottom right side of the device, by opening the cover and using the pin ejector tool to remove the tray:
To setup cellular:
- From the home screen, swipe upward on the screen to open the application drawer.
- Choose "Settings" towards the bottom of the apps list.
- Choose "Network and Internet".
- Choose "Mobile Network".
- Tap "Advanced" to expand the menu.
- Scroll all the way down and choose “Access Point Names” at the bottom.
- Tap the Plus icon (+) to add a new Access Point Name (APN) for your provider.
- Tap each field to set/edit them here (Name and APN are typically the only fields that are required, depending on the provider):
- For AT&T:
Name: ATT
APN: broadband - For Hologram:
Name: Holo
APN: hologram
**Hologram requires that roaming be enabled in the prior menu - For GoogleFi:
Name: GoogleFi
APN: h2g2 - For TMobile:
Name: T-Mobile
APN: fast.t-mobile.com - For Simbase:
Name: simbase
APN: simbase
- For AT&T:

- Once you have finished your configuration, tap the 3-dot icon in the upper right and choose "Save".
- Ensure the APN configuration you just created is selected.
- Hold down the power button on the left side of the AeroTrack, then Choose “Restart”. Tap again to confirm.
- Once the AeroTrack has finished restarting, turn off Wi-Fi (swipe downward on the home screen and tap the Wi-fi signal) and test to ensure the Cellular connection is functional.
Enabling App Pinning (optional)
- From the home screen, swipe upward on the screen to open the application drawer.
- Choose "Settings" towards the bottom of the apps list.
- Choose "Security".
- Tap "Advanced" toward the bottom to expand the menu.
- Choose "App Pinning".
- Tap "App Pinning" to switch it on.
- Choose "OK".
- Enable "Lock device when unpinning" if you don't want the app to be unpinned without unlocking the device.
If the person using a pinned app unpins the app and this is enabled, they will be unable to reopen the MobileTrack app without unlocking the AeroTrack
Pinning/Unpinning MobileTrack (optional)
This is only possible if you have enabled app pinning (above).
- With the MobileTrack app open, tap the Overview (square) button in the bottom right of the screen.
- Tap the MobileTrack app icon in the top center of the window.
- Choose "Pin".
- While the MobileTrack app is pinned, it can be unpinned by tapping and holding the Back (arrow) and Overview (square) buttons simultaneously.
Restrict Data in Other Apps (optional)
If you are going to be using a service provider with limited data, you may want to ensure the AeroTrack is only using data for timing, and not wasting data on unnecessary background apps.
- From the home screen, swipe upward on the screen to open the application drawer.
- Choose "Settings" towards the bottom of the apps list.
- Choose “Apps & notifications”.
- Choose “SEE ALL XX APPS”.
- Choose an app (not the MobileTrack app).
- Choose "Mobile Data & WIFI".
- Tap "Background data" to turn it off.
- Repeat this process for all apps, ensuring you do NOT turn off background data for the MobileTrack app.
