Introduction
The MobileTrack (and by extension, the AeroTrack) can download and share files of tag data much like a Minitrack or Pro controller. These files come in the form of a .CSV and a .MRK which can be accessed by middleware (See more about this process in Simple Client or in Fusion).
We will be covering how this works on the AeroTrack and Android devices in general.
Download
To get the files accessible on your device, you must share them from the MobileTrack app.
- Open the MobileTrack app.
- Tap the menu to open it.
- Choose "Files".
- Tap the Share icon to open the sharing options.
- Choose Files by Google.
- If you are using the MobileTrack app on your personal device, you may have different options for adding the .CSV and .MRK files to your phone's file system.
Access
Once files have been added here, you can find them on your device. On the AeroTrack, follow these steps:
- From the home screen, swipe upward on the screen to open the application drawer.
- Choose "Files".
- Choose "Downloads".
You can share these files like you would any file on a mobile device.
Transfer Over USB Cable
If you want to transfer the files directly to your computer, connect the AeroTrack to your computer with a USB cable to access the files. You must ensure the AeroTrack is set to transfer files over USB:
- From the home screen, swipe downward on the screen to open device options.
- Tap to expand "Android System - Charging this device via USB", then tap it again to open USB Preferences.
- Choose "File Transfer".
You can now find these files in the file management system on the connected computer.
Transfer to USB Thumbdrive
If you want to transfer the files to a USB Thumbdrive, insert a thumbdrive into the AeroTrack through the charging port and wait for it to be detected.
- From the home screen, swipe upward on the screen to open the application drawer.
- Choose "Files".
- Choose "Downloads".
- Tap and hold on a file to select it, then tap any other files you want to select.
- Tap the 3-dot icon in the upper right and choose "Copy to".
- Choose the USB Thumbdrive (the name will vary) from the list of options at the bottom of the screen.
- If the AeroTrack requests permissions, allow file access permissions.
- Choose "Copy here".
- Swipe downward on the screen to open device options.
- Tap to expand the USB settings.
- Choose "EJECT". This will allow you to safely remove the USB Thumbdrive without losing or damaging any data.
