ChronoTrack has a great Packet PickUp solution and now it's even better. When we announced the deprecation of Registration functionality; we were asked multiple times if PPU was sticking around.
Our PickUp solution currently allows volunteers to scan a QR Code that is sent to Athletes from CT Live. This functionality will continue to work. Additionally, a Volunteer can now also scan a code that references an ExternalID. So now there are multiple ways to pull-up an Athlete in PickUp!
Ways to lookup an Athlete in PickUp
- Partial Name Search
- Bib Number
- Scanning a CT-Live provided QR Code w/ the built in Camera
- Scanning a CT-Live provided Barcode w/ an external handheld Scanner
- Scanning an Externally provided QR Code* w/ the built in Camera
- Scanning an Externally provided Barcode* w/ an external handheld Scanner
* Assuming that the External Codes are the Athlete's External ID
Future Enhancements
- Add the concept of a Master_Booking_ID - that is an overarching ID that represents a transaction for 1 or more athletes
- Ability to scan a Master_Booking_ID in order to pull up one or more athletes
