Managing Event Dates and End Times can be a real challenge. We've seen you get frustrated, dealt with your support tickets, and decided to fix it!

The Assumption / Requirement

• Your Event has a Start Time and an End Time
• Your Races also have a Start Time and End Time, and they must be contained within the Event Start & End bounds.

The Problem

• You attempt to adjust your Race's Start Time, without editing your Event's Start Time and encounter this dreadful error:

• The old way of dealing with this error would be to:
  1. Attempt to update Race Start Time to new Date
  2. Encounter Error
  3. Close Race Modal
  4. Open Event Properties
  5. Navigate to Dates
  6. Update Event Start Time
  7. Save
  8. Close Event Properties
  9. Open Race
  10. Make change
  11. Click Save

Our New Solution

Now, when you edit your Race's Start or End Time and it falls outside of your Event's Start/End boundary, we offer to also update the Event Start/End Time.

New Flow:

1. Attempt to update Race Start Time to new Date

   Close Race Modal

   Open Event Properties

   Navigate to Dates

   Update Event Start Time

   Save

   Close Event Properties

   Open Race

   Make change

2. See Prompt to update Both Race & Event
3. Click Save
