Cloning last year’s Event is by far the quickest way to get your next Event configured. However, our previous Clone tool was missing several helpful features; so we decided to give it an upgrade!

Why Is The New Clone Tool Better?
The new Clone tool:
- Clones more of your previous Event configuration
- Only requires you to enter your new Event Date
- Makes it faster and easier to get your next Event ready
After you press Clone, you will see the following:
What Was Missing From the The Previous Clone Event Tool?
The previous Clone tool was built before many of our newer Event features existed. The new Clone tool now includes additional configuration, such as:
- Sponsors
- Microsite Branding, including your Hero Image
- Other newer Event features and settings
Important Notes
While the new Clone tool carries over significantly more of your Event, there are still a few things that do not clone.
- Brackets and Waves DO Clone
- However, Bracket Rules & Wave Rules Do Not Clone
- Custom Questions from Registration do NOT Clone
- Will not clone over
- The new Clone Tool will NOT create a corresponding Athlinks Event
- We expect to revisit the concept of a “Master Event” and Athlinks integration in the future.
