A Marathon is NOT 26.2 miles. It's actually something closer to 26.2187574549 Miles, but even that isn't the purest way to represent the distance accurately. That's because the official distance for marathons is measured in kilometers. 42.195 kilometers to be exact.
That difference may seem trivial, but it matters when calculating Pace, since Pace is based on distance over time. Using the precise distance helps ensure more accurate calculations throughout CT Live.

Simply select a distance and CT Live will automatically populate the:
- Name

Available Distances
- 5K — 5 Kilometers
- 10K — 10 Kilometers
- Half Marathon — 21.0975 Kilometers
- Marathon — 42.195 Kilometers
This makes creating common Race distances faster while ensuring the correct, precise distance is used.
