Introduction
Jobs is a tool that can be used to track updates made to teams and individual athletes in your event. Whether you're running a new import or reviewing past processes run to update athletes in CT Live, Jobs displays both the real-time progress and historical records for your event.
Navigating to Jobs
To navigate to jobs in CT Live, go to an Event in CT Live 2.0. Once there click on the Event tab and select "Jobs" from the side Menu that opens up.
Things to Note
Jobs Main Page
The main page of jobs will show a list of all "Jobs" done in a particular event. This includes import jobs as well as mass changes done to athletes including updating the "race age" calculation of athletes. The main page will show a list of jobs completed along with some basic stats.
- Each row will show a Job Id which is incremented based on when it was done, but may not be subsequent based on if a job was also done simultaneously elsewhere in CT Live.
- The Job Name itself is based on the action being taken. For example, the job name for an import will be labeled import with the type of import being done "by CSV" in addition to the amount of athletes being imported. The Type of job also references what the job is as it is labeled accordingly for an import as "athlete import."
- User Account will show the name of the user whose account started a job process.
- Job Status will show one of three statuses: Completed, Failed, or Cancelled. If a job is "completed" that does not necessarily mean everything was successful in the job, just that it was overall completed. Failed is if there is a problem that occurred that stopped the job from completing. Cancelled is if a job is in progress and before it is finished it is stopped.
- Last Activity will show the time the job was completed.
- Exec Time will display how long it took the job to complete, from start to finish.
- Successful and Failed will show how many athletes were updated successfully in the upload, in addition to how many rows failed.
- View Log will open up a detail menu that will show more information on the job and reasons for failures if there are any.
Log Details Page
When you click on "View Log" it will take you to a page that will give a bit of additional information on a job.
As an example, the following additional information is displayed in the log for an import:
- Percentage and number of failed athletes for import.
- Header Mapping for Import Job
- Unique Value Mapping of Values in File
- Row by row of entry import failures
- Download button for downloading failed rows for retry.
- Email address of user account who started a job.
