Our Predictive Tracking feature is incredibly useful, but it has one surmountable challenge:
Not every Spectator knows that behind the Track button is a predictive timing algorithm designed to estimate when their Athlete will arrive at their next split.
What's New?
We've added an animated Call to Action that appears only when we have something valuable to show the Spectator.
How It Works
It's easy to overwhelm users with too many prompts and calls to action, so this experience is intentionally selective.
The animated Call to Action will only appear when ALL of the following are true:
- The Event is Live
- The Athlete has started the Race
- The Athlete has not finished the Race
- A Predicted Time is currently available
- The Spectator has not previously seen the Predictive Tracking feature
This helps us surface Predictive Tracking at the moment it's most useful, without adding unnecessary noise to the Results experience.
