Introduction
Every CT Live event now has an associated microsite, which is a mini website that houses essential event information and dynamically updates links based on your event setup. These will also be automatically created for each new event, giving you an isolated, customizable space.
This article will guide you through understanding and customizing your events' microsites.
Discover Your Microsite
The link to an event's microsite can be found on the Event Dashboard in CT Live 2.0, in the list of 2.0 links.
Top Ribbon
The links in this space are auto-populated when the requirements are met:
- Store: Navigates to the Storefront page if your event has active items (within the the date range for that item) that are available in the Storefront.
- Results: Navigates to the Athlinks results page, provided the event is linked to Athlinks.
- Contact: Scrolls to the bottom of the microsite page, where the user will find a contact form to fill out. Messages filled out here will be sent to the Reply to email set in Registration > E-mail.
- Register: Shows and navigates to third party registration if link is provided in Event Properties.
Results
Before the event, you will find a countdown timer below the hero image, which is set based on the start time of the event:
After the event has started and has finishers this will show a preview of the results:
Additional Features
About the Event: This section delivers the pitch for the event as it was set in the Names section of Event Properties, and it can be edited there.
Event Info: this provides more details about the event. These details are pulled from the Event Landing Page in CT Live, and derived from the date and location to provide a map and weather info.
Featured Race Gear: This is a showcase for the items that are currently available on your storefront page.
Social Media Links: These links will open up the associated social media website, with a post draft ready to share on the user's account, using the event hashtag. This hashtag is set in Event Properties > Resources. If that is left blank, there will be no hashtag here.
Configure Your Microsite
Below are the aspects of the microsite that can be customized.
Hero Image
This is the big image that you first see on the microsite, and it's the same as the big, front image in Athlinks. A default generic Hero Image is used unless you upload a custom image to replace it. This is done in the Event Landing Page settings (entitled "Event Landing Page Image" there).
Registration Button Linking
If you wish to display a "register" button on your microsite to link out to third party registration, this can be done by entering a "third party registration link" in the Event Properties Section of the Event Page in CT Live 2.0. If at any point you wish to disable the "register" button from showing, that can be done by sliding the visibility toggle beside the external registration link.
Branding and Appearance
Colors: You can adjust the primary color of your microsite in Registration > Graphics. This will also create a secondary color based on your input. Just choose Replace to set your own color using a hexadecimal color code.
Sponsor Logos: You can add any sponsor logos in the Event Landing Page settings. Scroll down to the bottom of that page and choose + Add Sponsor Logo. You can also include a URL so that the logos are clickable links. These will appear at the bottom of your microsite, just above the contact form.
About the Event image: This default image can be replaced by importing your own image in Registration > Graphics in CT Live. Choose Replace in the About Event Image section.
