Introduction
Learn to configure your microsite here first
In ChronoTrack Live 2.0, you can add custom content sections to your event's microsite. When published, these sections appear directly below the About section in the microsite, and are ideal for highlighting event details, schedules, sponsor promotions, or personalized messages.
Creating and Adding Custom Sections
To get started, navigate to your event in CT Live 2.0 and choose Microsite > Custom Section from the menu ribbon on the left.
At the top, there is an option to turn on custom sections, making them visible on the microsite. Because of this, we recommend waiting to toggle visibility to "Yes" until you have finished setting up the custom sections to your liking.
Add your first custom section by clicking and dragging a Custom Block from the Components section to the middle area of the editor:
Format your view using the buttons located at the top-center of the editor: The view buttons on the left will display how your custom section will look on mobile, tablet, and laptop/desktop devices.
Before we dive into editing, note that you can add multiple custom sections, by clicking and dragging more Custom Blocks to the middle area, positioning them above or below other existing blocks. You may also duplicate or delete blocks using the context menu in the upper right of the block, which appears when you click on one of the custom blocks.
Editing Custom Blocks
Click the custom block you want to edit in order to display editable fields in the right margin. These include:
-
Title: The header for this block
- Description: This is the text of this block. You can apply styles to the text, and add links and lists here.
-
Layout: Orientation for the text and image. It can be aligned left, right, or center. If you align center, the uploaded image (below) will not be displayed.
-
Vertical Padding: Gives additional space above this block. The unit of measure is pixels.
- Background Color: These color options are derived from what is set in Registration > Graphics > Primary Color.
-
Image: Upload an image here to display in this block. Click the trashcan icon to delete an uploaded image. The dimensions of the image are dynamic, so you can upload a variety of image shape and sizes. We do recommend a decent size image though, so that the quality is crisp on the microsite.
Finally, you can set the buttons of your custom block. First, select the Block that contains the button you want to edit, then click Button 1 (or another, if there are more than one) to expand that section and display three customization options:
- Label: This is the text that is displayed on the button.
- Link: Set the website where you want the button to navigate when clicked.
- Color: The background color of the button. Text color cannot be customized.
Finalize
Once you have finished editing, don't forget to turn on Custom Sections by selecting the Yes option at the top of the editor. You can always make edits later -- These go live as soon as you choose Publish in the ribbon at the bottom of the editor.
