Introduction
The Standard Products tab (formerly known as the T-Shirts tab) allows you to choose whether or not to offer free T-Shirts and other free products on the Registration Form, which sizes to offer, which forms to offer Products on (online or on-site), upload an image of the Products, and Inventory Controls for supply limits. If you'd like to charge a price for T-Shirts and Products, Custom Product Questions are still the best avenue.
The updated slide now only shows Standard, Men's Women's and Youth shirt sizes, but existing events that were created before the changes were released and are using Unisex sizes will continue to work.
Reports, Athlete profiles, and other locations in CT Live that previously referred to T-Shirt Size will now display Shirt and Product information under the "Standard Product" heading. The report to use for T-Shirt sizes and products is now the StandardProduct report.
Enable and Configure the Slide
To enable the Standard Products slide, click the Yes radio button next to the "Enable Free Product Question" field. Once enabled, you can choose whether the slide appears in only the Online Form, the On-site form, or Both by selecting the appropriate radio button. You can also enter a Reg Form Header that gives a brief prompt to your athletes concerning the Products.
Next, you can un-check the All check box next to the Reg Choices to select individual Choices on which to make the Standard Products slide available.
Shirts, Products, and Description
After you've enabled the Slide, you can select the shirts you intend to offer from XX-small to 3X-Large in Standard, Men’s, Women’s, or Youth Sizes. You may also offer the option to choose No Shirt. T-Shirt sizes can be toggled on and off individually, or as categories by either checking or unchecking the corresponding boxes. Remember to click the Save button at the top of the tab before you proceed to Inventory Controls.
Next, you can add Custom Options to the Slide. To do this, click the Add Product button to add as many custom options as you want, then type a name for each option. You can remove an option by clicking the X next to it.
Next, you can add a Product Description for your T-Shirts and/or Products with a variety of text and formatting options.
In addition to a description, you can also upload images of the T-Shirts and Products you are offering. You may upload up to 4 images that are .jpg, .png, or .gif format. The recommended image size is 336x280 pixels. Images will be displayed with the T-Shirt size choice on the registration form.
To upload a T-Shirt image:
- Click the Select File button next to the Image Upload field
- Locate the desired image on your computer and click Open.
- Click Upload.
- Once the image uploads, you will see the image name on a Blue Bar. You can hover your mouse pointer over the name to preview the image.
- To remove an image, click the red X next to the preview bar.
- To adjust the positioning of the images as they appear on the registration form click the Image Positioning dropdown and select from below, top, left, or right.
Remember to click Save at the top of the tab when you are finished making changes.
Using Inventory Controls
Inventory Controls are useful for limiting the number of times T-Shirts and/or Products can be selected on the registration form. Once the total number of products available is reached, the option to receive that product will be removed from all registration forms.
If you're only offering one shirt size or product option, you can enter the Total Available Products. If you're offering more than one shirt size or product option, you can leave the Total field blank and use the Apply Inventory by Size feature to designate how many of each Product are available. Once the limit has been reached for a certain size, that size will no longer be available on the registration forms.
To specify inventory information for the T-Shirts, click the + Inventory Controls button and enter a value for each size offered.
When you're finished with your changes, click Save & Close. As athletes make selections, you can check on how many Shirts/Products have been claimed and how many remain as shown in the image above. You can also use the StandardProducts report to view Shirt/Product totals. Product information will also appear under the Standard Product heading in the Confirmed Entries report.
