Introduction
This guide will show you how to configure the Netgear LM1200 LTE router for use with any controller that supports ethernet. After configuration, the router can be used to connect a controller to the internet via Ethernet (Pro, Pro2, MiniTrack).
As compared to the Netgear Nighthawk MR1100 Router, the Netgear LM1200 Modem does not have an internal battery or produce WiFi. If these are functions you require for your usage this is likely not the right option for you. Contact Timer Support with any questions.
Configuration Steps
1. Plug the LM1200 into power to power it up.
2. In your web browser type in 192.168.5.1 and press Enter.
3. This will take you to the sign in page for the LM1200 admin panel. The default password is listed on the back of the LM1200 router.
4. After completing the initial setup prompts, click the Settings option and go to the Advanced tab and edit the information on that page to exactly match the image below. Settings other than what is highlighted in the below image can be left as is.
5. After editing the fields with the new values, an "Submit" button will appear at the bottom of the window. Make sure to click Submit to save the settings!
6. After the Settings changes are submitted your router will need to restart to apply those changes. Once the changes are applied if you need to log back into the router, you will need to do so by typing 172.20.23.1 into your web browser and use the password you used or set previously.
If your SIM card does not automatically connect on the Overview Page you will need to add the APN for your SIM provider under Mobile and the APN tab.
Your router is now ready to be used to connect controllers to the internet via ethernet. To test with a Mini, connect the LM1200 to the Mini with an ethernet cable, set the Mini's server IP to 50.17.233.218 (Menu > 2 > 1 > 2) and Connect (Menu > 2 > 1 > 1). The "Connected" light on the controller should go solid green.
