Introduction
If you are not live-scoring a race, you do not need to connect your Pro to your computer with an Ethernet cable. You can simply pull the data from the controller using a USB drive. It is also a good practice to pull USB data from your controllers - even if you did live scoring - to keep in a race data archive on your computer, should questions or concerns ever arise that would require a closer look at the data.
Copy the Data
- Insert a USB drive into one of the MiniTrack's USB ports. We recommend a drive no larger than 4GB since larger drives take longer for the controller to initialize.
- Press Configure > File
- On the following screen, all the files stored on the controller will be displayed. BoxScore 1.26 will also display any controller files currently stored on the inserted USB drive. You will know that the Controller has successfully detected the USB drive by the "Ready to Copy" message.
- You can select a specific data file to copy by tapping the desired selection and tapping Copy Selected (BoxScore 3) or To USB (BoxScore 1.26).
You can copy all files stored on the Controller with the Copy All/All button.
You can copy the currently active data file with the Copy Current/Current button. - Once you have pressed one of the buttons to start the file copy, you will see a status showing that copying is in progress. BoxScore 3 will first display a confirmation dialogue. Please wait until the screen displays "Ready to Copy" again before removing the USB drive.
BoxScore 1.26 does file copies in stages when you select 'ALL'. It will copy the current file first and display "Copy Current complete" for a few seconds before proceeding with the rest of the files. Do not remove the drive until you see "Copy All Complete. Ready to Copy."
Please note that data is stored on the Controller for 2 weeks before the data is automatically deleted to make room for new data.
We recommend that you test any USB drive you intend to use prior to race day to ensure that it works correctly with the Controller.
