Navigate to CT Onsite Results
Onsite Results provides a search page for athletes to pull up their entry and results individually. You can access the link from the Event Dashboard in CT Live. Choose Onsite Results from the list of Results links.
Features
Search
As in previous iterations of onsite results, a search is provided on the main screen. An athlete can search by bib or athlete name to find their results. If an athlete has not yet finished a race or their time has not yet been updated, it will show the latest split completed.
Athlete Results
Type in a name or bib into the search bar and select an athlete to view the entry. Once the results screen becomes inactive, a timer counts down 10 seconds (by default) before returning to the main search screen.
Aspects on the entry page:
- Confetti - Confetti will appear on the onsite page when an the athlete searched for has completed the race and has a finish time
- Finish Time - Finish time and pace is shown in the athlete's result page. Finish time is shown in either Gun or Net time, as determined in the Race Properties under Overall Ranking. The pace unit is set in the Full course interval for each given race.
- Award Laurel - If an athlete has preliminarily been selected to win an award, an award laurel will display beside the athlete's finish time.
- Placement - An athlete's bracket placements will be displayed in the margin on the right.
- QR Code - A QR code that links to the main results for the Event is show in the top right hand corner of the athlete's result.

Troubleshooting
Q: Why doesn't my printer appear in the list of devices when I click Connect Printer?
A: Make sure your printer is powered on AND connected via the supplied USB cable to the computer you're using for results printing. The recommended printer should show up as "TM-T20II". Be sure the "Error" or "Paper" LEDs aren't lit. Refer to the printer's user manual if you're not able to resolve errors.
Q: The printer shows as connected, why won't it print?
A: Make sure paper is properly loaded into the printer. If results still won't print, try disconnecting and reconnecting the printer's USB plug. If necessary, repeat steps 3 and 4 above after reconnecting. You may also need to remove all approved USB devices by clicking the X next to each in Chrome's USB modal as shown in the image below.
Printer Recommendations
We currently recommend the Epson TM-T20II printer which can be found on Amazon or other online marketplaces. We cannot guarantee performance with any other printer model.
The Epsom TM-T20III is a more recent model that also works for receipt printing. It can also be found on Amazon or other online marketplaces.
Please ensure that you purchase plenty of compatible Receipt Paper for your printer! Receipt paper width for the Epson model listed above should be 3-1/8".
Please note that our integration is built around around the ESC/POS protocol and we strongly recommend the following Epson Printers. However, other printers may also work if you are able to put them in ESC/POS mode.
For example, we are aware that Timers have successfully used StarMicronic Printers by putting them in this mode: https://starmicronics.com/help-center/knowledge-base/how-to-switch-emulations-on-star-desktop-printers/
However, ChronoTrack staff has only done very limited testing with this, and we do not recommend making a larger commitment without extensive testing and research for yourself.
