Introduction
If you'd like a complete video introduction and tutorial for StreamManager, click HERE. This video contains references to and images from older versions of SimpleClient when drawing comparisons, but everything concerning StreamManager is up to date and accurate.
StreamManager is ChronoTrack’s light-weight online solution for streaming data from a controller to ChronoTrack Live or other scoring software for live scoring and results. StreamManager is primarily used when a Controller is streaming or has streamed data directly to the ChronoTrack server through a Wireless Network data connection. Once the data has been streamed to the server, StreamManager can be used to pull the data from the server, filter the data in a variety of ways, and send it directly to CT Live or other scoring platforms.
Accessing StreamManager
To access StreamManager:
- Navigate to chronotrack.com and choose Timer Portal to navigate to the Timer Portal login page.
- Enter your ChronoTrack assigned Login Credentials.
- Choose Login.
- Choose the StreamManager tab.
Now that you are logged in, you will see the main screen of StreamManager. All incoming and outgoing controller data can be manipulated from this screen through a variety of dropdowns and dialogue boxes.
Using Stream Manager
Unless there are previously-used Streams open, StreamManager will appear as shown above. In StreamManager, Stream refers both to the act of sending data to the Host, and the data contained in the selected Controller's Session. Host is the name given to the destination website or application you wish to send the data to.
So a Stream is the package the Session data is sent in, and the Host is the address the package is being sent to.
See our guides for Adding a Host, Adding a Stream, and Adjusting Stream Settings and Filters.
